Handmade Leather Possibles Bag
This is a one of a kind, completely handmade, leather 18th-19th century style mountain man possibles, hunting, or shooting bag. The bag and straps are made from 4-5oz vegetable tanned leather. The bag measures 13 1/2 long from top to bottom and 10 inches wide at the top. The buckle strap measures 15 inches long and is 1 1/2 inches wide and features a brass buckle. The long strap measures 55 inches long and is 1 1/2 inches wide as well . The bag features include, a large inside pocket, trim around the flap edge and opening, a handmade brass button, a 2 3/4 inch gusset on the bottom, a dark brown stain, and a period correct wax/oil finish.
Everything has been done completely by hand. It has been cut, sewn with waxed linen thread, dyed, and finished by hand no machines used at all. Much the same way these bags were made hundreds of years ago.
