Haversack(SOLD)

This is a one of a kind, completely handmade, haversack. This haversack measures 9 1/4 inches wide and 11 inches from top to bottom. The straps are made from 5-6oz veg tanned leather. The buckle strap measures 10 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and features a solid brass antiqued buckle. The long strap measures 48 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide as well, and features 6 holes for adjustment. The bag is made from vintage cotton ticking, heavy cotton canvas, and 3-4oz veg tanned leather. The bag features include, trim around the edge of the main pocket, a pewter button, a canvas lined flap, and sewn 18th century fraktur designs on the flap. The bag has been antiqued to look old and has been given a period correct oil/beeswax finish.
Everything has been done completely by hand. It has been cut, sewn with waxed linen thread, dyed, and finished by hand, no machines used at all.
