Leather Shooting Bag(SOLD)

Leather Shooting Bag(SOLD)

This is another very unique, one of a kind, completely handmade and handsewn leather shooting bag. This bag is an example of the size and shape of the bags used in the 18th century. The bag is made from tough 3-4oz veg tanned cowhide. The straps are made from strong 4-5oz veg tanned cowhide. The bag measures 8 1/2 inches wide and 6 1/2 inches from top to bottom. The buckle strap measures 12 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and features an aged solid brass buckle. The long strap measures 50 1/2 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide as well, and features 7 holes for adjustment.

The bag features include, a full welt, an inside pocket, a bound pocket edge, an aged brass button, and a heavy, walnut hull dyed cotton canvas lined flap.

I have given the bag a period correct, to the 18th century, oil, beeswax, and lamp black finish.

Everything has been done completely by hand. It has been cut, sewn with waxed linen thread, dyed and finished by hand, no machines or assembly line methods used at all to save time.
