Handmade Leather Hunting/Shooting Bag #126

This is another incredibly unique, completely handmade and handsewn with waxed pure linen thread, leather hunting/shooting bag. This is a very early, simple style of bag. The main part of this bag is made from one piece of leather folded over and sewn along the sides. This bag is made from 3-4oz veg tanned cowhide. The straps are made from 3-4oz veg tanned cowhide as well. The bag measures 8 1/4 inches wide and 9 3/4 inches from top to bottom when closed. The buckle strap measures 12 3/4 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and features an aged solid brass buckle. The long strap measures 52 1/2  inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and features 8 holes for adjustment. The bag features include, an aged brass button, a cotton canvas lined flap, and a black color. The black color was achieved using a combination of black leather dye and vinegaroon. I used a period correct oil and beeswax/lampblack finish. 
Everything has been done completely by hand. It has been cut, sewn with waxed linen thread, dyed, and finished by hand, no machines or assembly line methods used at all just to save time.
