Handmade Mountain Man Belt Bag

This is another, completely handmade and handsewn, leather belt bag. This bag is an early, simple design made from two pieces of leather sewn around the outside edge. This bag is made from 3-4oz veg tanned cowhide. The bag measures approximately 6 3/4 inches wide at the middle and 5 1/4 inches from top to bottom. The belt loops will take up to a 3 inch wide belt. The bag features include, an aged bone button, two copper cones and brass beads, and a period correct oil/beeswax finish using a handmade conditioner. I gave the bag an aged brown color, as was common in the 18th and 19th centuries.
As always, everything has been done completely by hand. It has been dyed, cut, sewn with waxed linen thread, and finished by hand, no machines or assembly line methods used at all just to save time.
