Leather Hunting/Shooting Bag #155

This is another incredibly unique, completely handmade and handsewn with waxed pure linen thread, leather hunting/shooting bag. This bag is a simple, early two piece design bound and sewn around the outside edge, as was seen on many early bags. This bag is made from 3-4oz veg tanned cowhide. The straps are made from 5-6oz veg tanned cowhide. The bag measures approximately 9 3/4 inches wide at the middle and 7 3/4 inches from top to bottom when closed. The buckle strap measures 12 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and features an aged solid brass buckle. The long strap measures 51 1/2 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and features 8 holes for adjustment. The bag features include, an inside pocket, an aged brass button, and a period correct black color. I used a period correct oil and beeswax finish as well.
Everything has been done completely by hand. It has been cut, sewn with waxed linen thread, dyed, and finished by hand, no machines or assembly line methods used at all just to save time.
